This May, we are inviting you to take part in the 100 Miles in May Challenge in support of Richmond Borough Mind. This virtual challenge is designed to raise funds for local mental health services while encouraging us all to prioritise our wellbeing. As well as raising vital funds, this challenge is a great opportunity to experience some of the wellbeing benefits that movement can bring. Getting active, spending time outdoors, and taking a break in nature can all have a positive impact on our mental health - helping to reduce stress, boost mood, clear the mind, and improve energy levels. Over the course of May, participants aim to walk or run 100 miles. You can choose to take part individually or as part of a team of up to 4, with a shared goal of 400 miles. Taking part as a team gives us the chance to connect with friends and family, encourage one another, and build a sense of shared achievement along the way. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, giving us the perfect opportunity to come together to make positive changes. The theme for 2026 is Action, emphasising the importance of taking tangible steps that improve mental health for individuals, workplaces and communities. With your help, Richmond Borough Mind can continue building resilient, compassionate, community-based services that help people recover, stay well and thrive. All you need to do is log the miles you walk or run throughout May, manually or via a free Strava account. We would love you to raise sponsorship using your Enthuse fundraising page to support Richmond Borough Mind. Whether you walk at lunchtime, run before work, get outside at the weekend, or complete your miles with friends or colleagues, every step matters. Whether that is three miles every day or further every few days make this challenge yours! However you choose to take part, this is a chance to do something positive for your own wellbeing while helping Richmond Borough Mind continue their important work. Join us for 100 Miles in May today to boost your wellbeing this spring and raise money for better mental health.
